Spring Travel

Spring Time in Disney

As I sit and watch the snow fall, I find it hard to believe that spring break is just around the corner.  Here are some tips to make your spring trip fun and relaxing.

  • Spring is known for variable temperatures and weather conditions – one day can be hot, the next snowy.  Pack for the season with at least one sweater (also good for cool spring evenings) and raincoats.
  • Come home from vacation one or two days before you need to head back to school and work.  It gives everyone a chance to settle back into the home routine and to catch up on laundry, mail, etc.
  • Have the kids keep a travel journal on the trip – it makes a great souvenir and helps write the first day back “What did you do over spring break?” essay.  You can find some neat ones at TravelKiddy.
  • Bring a mixture of activities on vacation – some toys for outdoor play and also some games in case the weather is bad.

What are your tips for a successful spring trip?
